What An Electrical Contractor Will Do On A Building Site

without comments

When there is a new building being constructed, there will be a lot of madness on site. There are many different people who are in charge of many different things. There will be the architects, bricklayers, painters and of course the electricians.

So the question is, why does there need to be an electrical contractor on site? Their role in the construction of the new building is very important, as they are in charge of laying down all the foundations that will allow electricity to be utilised in the new structure. The electricians company will first bid for the new project; once their bid is accepted, then they will be in liaison with the architects of the website, so that they can work on the blueprints for the laying down of all the electrical wiring in the foundation of the new building. All the necessary materials for the construction and laying down of the new wiring will be purchased, and work will begin.

In the building process, trenches for the wiring will be dug, and wires will be intricately placed in the walls and ceiling, depending on the requirement of the electricity outlets. The electrical contractor will decide where to put lighting fixtures and plug sockets. They will also determine the placement of other electrical outlets.

Once the construction of the building is nearly completed, there is a lot of testing that needs to be done. The electrician will ensure that all the electrical outlets are working correctly, and are not in contradiction to any of the other outlets in the building.

It is very important that only a qualified electrician works on the construction site, as it can be a very dangerous job. When you are taking on the services of a new electrician, ensure that they have a certificate registering them as a qualified electrician.
